White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt doubles down on Maryland man’s wrongful deportation

After the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration had to facilitate the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the alleged gang member who was sent in error to El Salvador, White House press sec. Karoline Leavitt doubled down on his deportation.

Trump administration officials say Abrego Garcia, who escaped political violence in El Salvador 2011, is a member of the criminal gang MS-13, but to date they have provided little evidence of that assertion in court.
