NATO’s top commander in Europe says Patriot air defence systems are being prepared for delivery to Ukraine, making good on a pledge made earlier this week by US President Donald Trump. The Patriot missile batteries are considered to be the only effective tool Kiev has to shoot down Russian ballistic and hypersonic missiles. But also central to Ukrainian air defence are civilian groups that destroy hundreds of Russian drones launched on a near nightly basis. Randolph Nogel was granted access to a group of local volunteers defending Ukraine’s skies in the Kiev region, and sent this exclusive report.
