More than 5,300 cholera cases and 28 deaths have been reported across the South Kivu province in Democratic Republic of the Congo since January. Doctors Without Borders and the World Health Organisation have sounded the alarm saying that the public health system needs to be revamped. But political turmoil in the country means that it’s going to be difficult. Rahul Radhakrishnan has the details.
