Five people have died after multiple clashes along the border between Cambodia and Thailand, in the most significant escalation since the two countries agreed to a ceasefire six weeks ago. Both nations accused the other of starting it, with towns and villages on either side having to evacuate. 40 people have died over the past seven months during periodic clashes, with tensions escalating and an increase on import bans and travel restrictions.
