The United Nations said Monday that its peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, UNIFIL, recorded nearly 1,300 projectiles launched by Israel into Lebanon between Friday and Monday.
Deputy UN spokesperson Farhan Haq said peacekeepers observed more than 1,296 projectile trajectories attributed to the Israel Defense Forces and 64 attributed to Hezbollah.
Haq also said Israel continues to illegally restrict UNIFIL’s freedom of movement in Lebanon.
On Saturday, an Israeli tank blocked a UNIFIL patrol near Al-Qawzah, while an Israeli bulldozer restricted peacekeepers near Al-Bayada, forcing personnel to turn back in both cases.
