A powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Mindanao Island in southern Philippines on June 8, collapsing buildings and triggering tsunami warnings across the region. At least 14 people have been killed, seven others are missing, and around 10,000 families have been affected. A 6.1-magnitude aftershock struck hours later.
