Targeted verbal attacks, attempts to control information and press credentials, and financial pressure are just some of the ways the White House has sought to influence reporting –or label journalists as enemies of the government. Public media outlets are especially vulnerable, relying in part on federal funding. So, is it still possible to report on the inner workings of politics? And how are journalists pushing back?
