Following Hayden Panettiere’s death on Aug. 16 at the age of 36, her neighbor in West Hollywood, Calif., recalled calling the police on the Nashville actress’ boyfriend Brian Hickerson multiple times. Panettiere’s cause of death has not been determined, although authorities have confirmed she suffered an apparent overdose and have ruled out foul play during the preliminary investigation. Police also stated Hickerson was present at the South Carolina apartment complex where Panettiere was found unresponsive. “There were times where he ripped apart her bathroom,” Mia Terrazas told Inside Edition in an interview published Aug. 19, “where he just took a sledgehammer at five in the morning. I was terrified of him, and I have a concealed carry,” she added, “so that’s saying a lot. I was terrified.”
