Army Secretary Dan Driscoll resigned Monday amid tension with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the ongoing war with Iran. A source familiar with the matter told MS NOW Driscoll also brought up concerns with the administration “surrounding Army transformation and readiness and Hegseth’s blocking those efforts” by firing generals. On Morning Joe, Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen Mark Hertling warns of long-term “institutional damage” as the Army struggles with leadership as well as transformation and readiness.
