Rep. Nancy Mace called for Lindsay Clancy to receive the death penalty and be publicly executed after the Massachusetts murder trial ended in a mistrial. Speaking to TMZ, Mace said Clancy’s children are dead and “she should be dead too.” Massachusetts abolished capital punishment for state crimes decades ago, making the proposal legally unavailable in this case. Clancy remains charged, and her defense is seeking to avoid a retrial through a judgment of not guilty by reason of insanity.
