Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry is suing the Miss Universe organization over a brutal stage fall that left her with a severe brain injury, saying the incident “permanently altered the course of my life.”
Henry, a doctor, filed the lawsuit Monday in Delaware Superior Court, nearly a year after she plunged through an opening in the stage during the Miss Universe preliminary rounds in Thailand.
Henry was walking across the stage when she was blinded by the “intense lighting” and fell into an “unmarked and uncovered opening in the stage” about five feet deep in November 2025, according to the lawsuit obtained by People.
