    President Iliana Iotova has decided on snap parliamentary elections for April 19, marking the eighth national election in just five years.
    It comes after former President Rumen Radev stepped down in January, more than a year before the end of his second term. He’s also launched a bid to enter party politics and run in upcoming elections, where the country will have to once again confront political uncertainty.

    Across the Balkans, hosted by Nadja Muftic, is TRT World’s programme focusing on the issues and fault lines shaping Southeast Europe today.
