Police in England’s West Midlands used a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver to stop a 23-year-old driver who was allegedly armed with a large knife and attempting to enter the M5 motorway in the wrong direction. Authorities said Joshua Jones was being sought after threatening a woman and led officers on a high-speed pursuit, reaching speeds of 70 mph in a 30 mph zone. Police said the intervention likely prevented a potentially catastrophic incident, and Jones later admitted to multiple offenses, including possession of a large knife, dangerous driving, criminal damage, and making threats.
