A Turkish fishing vessel rescued a group of migrants from a boat in distress in international waters off Malta on June 7. The crew of the Tuncay Sagun 2 brought the migrants aboard and provided them with food and water. Some fatalities were reported among those on the migrant boat. The vessel transferred the survivors to Maltese authorities.
