An explosion in a cafe on al Nasr Street in Damascus killed at least five people and injured 16 others on July 2, according to Syria’s Ministry of Health. The blast occurred near the Palace of Justice and the historic Hamidiye Market area. Syrian authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the cause of the explosion.
