With the November midterm elections approaching, concerns are growing over what actions the Trump administration may take to tighten federal controls over what is supposed to be state run elections. The New York Times reports that at least 25 county-level election officials who have all come to office since Trump returned to power currently play roles in elections in counties that are that are key to House, Senate, or statewide midterm races this year.
