Five days of national mourning have been declared in Iran following the death of the country’s President Ebrahim Raisi. He died in a helicopter crash on Sunday, along with the other eight people on board – including the country’s foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdo-lahian. The helicopter crashed in a mountainous region and the location of the wreckage was discovered by a Turkish drone. News of the president’s death was announced by state media early on Monday morning.
