Chip companies ASML (ASML) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM) could disable their chip machines remotely if China were to invade Taiwan, according to a report from Bloomberg. The report states that US government officials have expressed concerns to Dutch and Taiwanese officials about what could happen to the semiconductor space if China aggressively escalates tensions with Taiwan (ASML is a Dutch company).
Yahoo Finance’s Akiko Fujita breaks down the report.
