Looking at the days ahead, what are your plans to deepen your walk with the Lord? Here are my top recommendations for a year-long study:
1–David’s Spiritual Secret. This book is a course for believers who say: “I want to Tune-Up My Emotions.” Do you ever get struck with bad feelings of anger, rejection, hopelessness, and paralyzing depression? God’s Word teaches us how to cultivate emotional health.
2–Living Hope for the End of Days. This book is a course for believers who say: “I want to Tune-Up My View of World Events.” Do you ever get scared, depressed, or troubled by the news? God’s Word teaches us how to Live in Hope.
3–The Joy of A Word-Filled Family. This book is a course for believers who say: “I want to Tune-Up My Marriage & Family.” God invented marriage and the family & explains to us what He desires us to be and to do.
4–CHRIST’S LAST WORDS TO HIS CHURCH. If you really believe God’s Word, then you believe Jesus Christ is here. He walks among us, looking at us as we gather to see if we are being what He asks us to be and doing what He left us to do. Everything revolves around the church Jesus said He was building. Are you doing and being what He asks us to do and be for His church?
5–Grace-Energized Women. Titus 2 is not meant to be an inspirational picture of some yesteryear woman of virtue from 2,000 years ago. God’s Word presents the Titus Two woman as God’s plan, God’s desire, and God’s marching orders for all women in Christ of any age in any era of Christ’s Church. If there is one passage every young lady should memorize, it is right here. If there is one paragraph in the Bible that every bride-to-be should have down as a part of her marriage preparation, this is it. If there are a handful of verses every tired mother and busy wife need as the ones they hold to as they have just enough strength to make it through one more day, look no further. Welcome to the complete woman of God, as defined and described by God.
6–WORD-FILLED FAMILIES WALK IN TRUTH. When the Gospel of Jesus Christ entered the Roman world of the New Testament, the landscape was very bleak. Christ’s church was born into a world of mixed-up marriages and confused families. First-century believers had to learn the principles of godly marriages and families that please God. Twenty-first-century believers face the same difficulties, but thankfully, God’s plan has been the same at every age: His people are to have Word-filled families! This book will instruct and challenge you in the Scriptures. By God’s grace, you will be drawn to desire a Word-filled life as a man or a woman, a Word-filled marriage as a husband or wife, a Word-filled family as a father or mother, and a Word-filled prayer life as a couple in oneness of heart and mind.
7–Lessons In New Testament Discipleship – Helping Others Follow Christ. A question that should be framed daily is: “Am I doing what Christ left me to do?” Discipleship: Knowing & Following Jesus Christ. Christ’s first words to His first disciples should be our first priority as His disciples today. “Follow Me” is still the essence of Biblical Christianity. Those words are what He still calls for as He walks through this world.
