German prosecutors expect to charge the suspect in an attack on a Christmas market in the German City of Magdeburg with murder and attempted murder. Officials confirmed that five people died and 200 were injured when a car rammed into a crowd. They believe the suspect, a 50 year old doctor from Saudi Arabia, acted alone. The motive for the attack remains unclear, but he was critical of Islam and had been granted political asylum in Germany. People have been gathering in Magdeburg to pay their respects to those killed.
