Belarus is holding elections this weekend, which are expected to deliver a seventh term in power to President Alexander Lukaschenko. He has already ruled the eastern European country for 31 years. The opposition has called the vote a farce, while the European Parliament is warning of a sham election. The country’s last presidential vote sparked nationwide protests following allegations of vote rigging. The government responded with a brutal crackdown, which led many critics to flee Belarus. Some are continuing their activism from abroad — like from neighboring Poland. DW correspondent Sergei Satanovskii reports from the Polish capital Warsaw.
