Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s decision to slash the foreign aid budget to give more money to defence has proven controversial.
Humanitarian aid has been cut from 0.5% of GDP to 0.3% but some MPs and charities have argued this will not bring peace or safety to Europe.
Reacting to the aid cuts, Sky News speaks to the chief executive of Oxfam UK Halima Begum who says: "We are dismayed, we don’t know why there’s been a short term decision to reverse promises and aspirations to protect some of the world’s poorest communities".
