Recently released footage from February shows the world’s largest iceberg, A23a, drifting since 2020 before grounding safely on the continental shelf, 90 km from shore near the British island of South Georgia.
The trillion-tonne iceberg, slightly smaller than Rhode Island and twice the size of London, was feared to threaten local wildlife but has settled, according to the British Antarctic Survey (BAS).
