Judge blocks deportation of Palestinian activist who helped lead Columbia University protests

A federal judge has blocked the removal of a Palestinian activist from the United States while weighing a petition challenging his arrest, court documents show. Mahmoud Khalil is being held at a Louisiana detention center, his attorney said.
