Israel’s military says it has begun a new ground operation in Rafah, in the Gaza Strip’s south. It comes after another day of airstrikes and ground operations in northern Gaza. Earlier on Thursday, Hamas fired rockets at central Israel. Israel said it had intercepted one of the missiles and that the others caused no injuries.
In Gaza, Palestinians face life-threatening food, fuel, and medical supply shortages, all exacerbated by the Israeli military’s resumption of strikes.
