Trump says he ‘doesn’t know’ if military plans were classified

Taking questions in the Oval Office, Trump denounced continued coverage of the Signal chat leak as “a witch hunt” and defended Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Asked whether classified information was shared in the Signal group chat, which inadvertently included a journalist, Trump responded: “That’s what I’ve heard. I don’t know. I’m not sure. You have to ask the various people involved. I really don’t know.”
