Marriage—Either a Crown or Rottenness: Proverbs 12:4 says, "An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who shames him is as rottenness in his bones”.
Marriage—Lifelong Blessings, Favor from God, and Good: Proverbs 18:22 states, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord".
Marriage—A Good Wife is about Incredible Gift Only God Can give: Proverbs 19:14 states, "Houses and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD."
Marriage—Can Become Intolerable Pain: Proverbs Proverbs 21:9 Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman. 21:19 Better to dwell in the wilderness, Than with a contentious and angry woman. Proverbs 25:24 It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.
Marriage—Beware of the Toxic Drips that Destroy any joy in marriage: Proverbs 27:15 (ESV) A continual dripping on a rainy day and a quarrelsome wife are alike; Spouses don’t have to be overtly abusive to bring misery into a marriage. A constant "drip" of negativity, arguing, unhappiness, criticism, or other irritations can become toxic.
