‘I don’t think tariffs help anyone,’ shadow minister says as Trump’s tariffs causes markets to crash

Shadow paymaster general Richard Holden has given his reaction as global markets respond to Donald Trump’s tariffs, saying they "don’t help anyone" and are "creating concern and uncertainty".

He continues to say that "this is a concerning time for business", and criticise Labour as they shouldn’t be putting "extra massive regulations on business" or raising the National Insurance tax. "I really worry about the impact on the wider economy", Mr Holden says.
