Thousands of protesters have gathered in Basel, Switzerland, on Saturday to protest Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Protesters pointed out that Russia and Belarus were barred from the competition over the Ukraine war, whilst Israel, which has killed over 53,000 Palestinians since October 2023, continues to take part in the contest.
