Pres. Trump said he had a two and a half hour phone call with Russian Pres. Putin, adding that "some progress has been made" in Russia-Ukraine ceasefire talks.
Trump said in a post to his conservative social media platform that peace talks would begin "immediately" and that he spoke with Ukrainian Pres. Zelenskyy, as well as several NATO leaders, after the call with Putin.
