Former Microsoft employees Hossam Nasr and Vaniya Agrawal disrupted an AI event in Seattle after infiltrating Microsoft’s Build 2025 conference.
The pair waved a Palestinian flag on stage before being violently removed by security. They told TRT World they took action to call out Microsoft’s complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Both were fired earlier this year after raising concerns about the company’s ties to the Israeli military.
This marks the 10th public disruption targeting Microsoft leadership in 2025.
Microsoft has confirmed providing AI and cloud services to Israel’s Defense Ministry but says there is “no evidence to date” that its technology has been used to harm people in the conflict.
However, former Microsoft employees Abdo Mohamed and Hossam Nas told TRT World in January that the company’s tools have supported the Israeli military—labeling Palestinians as “terrorists,” storing mass surveillance data, and enabling automated strikes on Gaza.
