The civilian population in Gaza is "on its knees" after the brutal war with Israel, a British surgeon working in Gaza has told Sky News.
Dr Victoria Rose said much of the population was malnourished due to the Israeli blockade, which made recovering from injuries sustained in the war more difficult.
Injuries that would be treatable if sustained in the West can turn into a death sentence in Gaza due to malnutrition and a shortage of basic medicines, she said.
Children are particularly at risk, with more youngsters now losing limbs due to explosions.
