Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is testifying before a House committee on his department’s budget request for 2026. The hearing comes as President Trump wrote on social media that a U.S. trade "deal with China is done, subject to final approval with president Xi and me." U.S. and Chinese trade negotiators announced Tuesday night that a "framework deal" has been reached in London, but did not provide further details.
