US Senator Alex Padilla was forcibly removed from a press conference and handcuffed after disrupting a media briefing by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on the federal immigration crackdown in Los Angeles. Padilla says he was not arrested or detained and he went there peacefully to ask a question. DHS says Padilla didn’t sufficiently identify himself and accused him of lunging toward Noem.
