For years, smugglers have used ivory from mammoths to disguise shipments of higher quality elephant tusks. But scientists at Hong Kong University have discovered a cheap and easy method to identify illegal ivory. It’s already helping boost China’s efforts to crack down on the banned trade, and keep endangered elephants safe from poachers. Brenda Radido reports.
