Donald Trump has repeatedly said he is imposing sanctions on countries in order to redress the trade balance with the US. But South Africa says the 30% tariffs imposed by the US does not represent a fair calculation of the balance of trade between the two countries. Relations between Trump and President Cyril Ramaphosa have been rocky and deteriorated further when the South African visited the White House in May this year. Trump is also less than impressed with Brics countries who have been meeting this week in Rio. Grace Kuria Kanja reports
