Donald Trump says he’s told Israel to allow every ounce of food into Gaza. And in an apparent rebuke of Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies, he’s also said Israel bears a lot of responsibility for the crisis in the enclave. During his meeting with the British prime minister in Scotland, the US president criticised Hamas for not releasing the remaining hostages, but added that Netanyahu should try a different approach to secure a ceasefire.
