A new gas pipeline from Türkiye to Syria now supplies 3.4 million cubic meters of gas per day, enough to double electricity in parts of Syria.
The project, backed by Türkiye, Syria, Azerbaijan, and Qatar, aims to help Syrians return home by restoring basic services. Natural gas first goes to Aleppo, with plans to expand. Officials see it as a key step toward regional recovery and cooperation. TRT World’s Nizar Sadawi reports from Kilis, Türkiye.
