Donald Trump’s favoured negotiator Steve Witkoff is due in Moscow on Wednesday for further talks on ending Russia’s war with Ukraine. Trump’s election campaign included a pledge to end the war within 24 hours of returning to the White House. However, the US President is becoming increasingly impatient with the continuing hostilities and has set a deadline of this Friday for the Kremlin to end the war or face severe economic sanctions.
