Public anger over Benjamin Netanyahu’s plans to expand the assault on Gaza is spilling onto the streets of Israel. Thousands of protesters in Tel Aviv have accused the prime minister of abandoning the 50 hostages still held in the enclave and prolonging the conflict for his own political ambitions.
