Since the October 7 attack, Israel has continued a massive air, ground, and sea offensive that has killed more than 67,000 Palestinians and left most of Gaza in ruins. As the world’s foremost forum for dialogue, the United Nations has been unable to find a way to peace, mainly due to Israel being backed by the power of the US veto in the Security Council.
