Tens of thousands of people have fled the Sudanese city of El-Fasher after it was seized by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. Their arrival in camps was followed of reports of mass killings, sexual violence, attacks on aid workers, looting and abductions in a city where communications have largely been cut off. The recent spark in violence in this two year-long conflict has prompted fears that it will amplify the already important humanitarian catastrophe.
