Sir Keir Starmer says he will speak to Donald Trump "in coming days" after Kyiv was given until Thursday to accept a US peace plan to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Officials will meet in Geneva on Sunday as Europe scrambles to come up with a counter-plan after the US draft plan was made public.
The 28-point plan includes major concessions from Ukraine, including giving up territory and cutting the size of its army.
