Indian passenger airline IndiGo has canceled hundreds of flights this week across the country as it struggles to find pilots to fly its planes. A new regulation came into effect which reduced the maximum amount of hours crews can fly. IndiGo underestimated the extra demand it would necessitate. Thousands of passengers have been left stranded, and many complain that the airline fumbled its customer service response to the crisis. India’s air travel regulator has stepped in.
