In pursuit of retribution against New York Attorney General Letitia James, a source tells MS NOW that the Trump Justice Department could try to bring criminal charges of alleged mortgage fraud against James for a third time any day now. This, after a federal grand jury provided a rare and embarrassing defeat this week for the department when it failed to re-indict James, just two weeks after the initial cases against her and former FBI Director James Comey were thrown out on the basis that Trump’s interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, was unlawfully appointed.
