Wildfires in Australia’s New South Wales have torn through thousands of hectares of bushland, prompting authorities to urge thousands of residents to evacuate.
Emergency alerts were issued for the Phegans Bay and Woy Woy area, about 30 miles north of Sydney.
At least 16 homes have already been destroyed as the bushfires continue to burn across the region.
