Actor Wenne Alton Davis—best known for playing roles on ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,’ ‘Girls5eva’ and ‘New Amsterdam’—died at age 60 after being hit by a car in New York City Dec. 8, police and their agent confirmed to The New York Times. Davis moved to New York in their late 20s to work as a stand up comedian before turning to acting. They also worked security at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Police told the outlet Davis was hit by an S.U.V. that was traveling on West 53rd Street in Midtown Manhattan and made a left turn on Broadway where the vehicle struck a pedestrian.
