A far-right harassment episode outside the EPIC Mosque in North Texas has sparked outrage after demonstrators shouted anti-Islamic and white-supremacist slogans.
The insult, covered on the ground by TRT World, was organised by Jake Lang, a Republican candidate for the US Senate and head of the group Americans Against Islamification. Lang has previously said he wants to rid America of Muslims.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has launched multiple investigations into the mosque, a move EPIC Mosque leaders say is rooted in racism.
Muslims condemned the rhetoric, saying the demonstration contradicts Christian teachings of peace and coexistence.
Lang has previously drawn backlash for burning a Quran in Michigan.
