Protests have spread across Bangladesh after youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi died on Thursday night, days after being shot in the head on December 12.
Authorities say the attackers had links to a banned student group tied to former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League. Anger has also turned toward India, where Hasina has taken refuge.
