Ukrainian soldiers and displaced families spent the holiday away from home, holding onto traditions and praying for peace, while President Volodymr Zelenskyy called for an end to the conflict. Diplomatic efforts have so far failed, with both Moscow and Western nations expressing frustration, leaving soldiers on the frontlines hoping not to spend another Christmas at war.
